Jacob + Devin | Solaris Wedding | Capture Destiny Photos
Jacob and Devin selected February 22nd based on the full moon predicted. Unfortunately with the rainstorms and heavy cloud cover, the full moon wasn’t visible except for one glorious second before hiding back in the clouds. We managed to capture a slight bit of it’s glow through the clouds while on the top deck of the majestic Solaris yacht, as Jacob and Devin danced in the night air. Since the sky was just a heavy solid gray all evening, I was very determined in post processing to create these two some sunset and moon images to cherish forever 🙂 You see Jacob strives to become an Astronaut one day, and these two just love astronomy—-so a celestial theme was the perfect fit for their wedding! Their decorations were very minimalistic with dark navy blue table runners sprinkled with metallic star confetti. Under the glowing lights, this minimalistic approach really came together to resemble the spacious night sky that these two love birds adore!  The reception was highlighted with fitting interstellar songs like “Rocket Man”, and of course you know Moon Pies could be found on the dessert menu! When we returned to port in the poring rain, I was thrilled we were still able to light the sparklers for a grand send off!
Congrats again you two!! I’m ‘over the moon’ excited for what life has in store for you both!!
